Recognizing a gap in the market for a solution between automatic label dispensers and full inline labeling systems, Tach-It developed the MCU wipe-on label application assembly and control system, which can be installed over existing conveyor systems. The system features a touch screen interface with 5 memory presets, a dwell timer for accurate label placement, and a target counter. The MCU label application assembly provides an affordable option for automating labeling tasks when used with an existing conveyor. The label head, which is simple to mount, utilizes a non-contact sensor to detect labels, and it can handle labels up to 5 inches wide and 11 inches long. The control system, driven by stepper motors, allows for adjustable motor speeds, enabling synchronization with the conveyor speed to apply labels precisely where needed. For applications requiring portability, a version of the MCU wipe-on label application assembly with a movable and adjustable stand is also available.
